Ushers and Greeters
This ministry serves at the weekend masses. Greeters do just that – greeting people as they enter the church. Ushers help out in a wide variety of ways, including seating during crowded masses, gathering the collection, and more. Contact Scott to find out more or volunteer. You can volunteer as frequently or infrequently as you like. It’s a great way to get involved and meet others.
This ministry does exactly what you think! This group helps those less forunate in and near our community. From the Coat Drive, to Food Drives, and the St. Joseph Table, this group actively makes a real difference in the lives of others. Contact Deacon Richard Johnson or Liz to find out more and get involved. There are always needs! We just need more hands.
Ministry of Care
The Ministers of Care team assists the Priest and Deacons of the parish by visiting those who are hospitalized, in nursing homes or confined to private homes. Ministers are trained to conduct pastoral visits with time to listen and pray about the concerns of the sick or homebound person and to share Eucharist with them. If you want more information, contact Deacon Tom Lambert.
Respect Life Ministry
The Respect Life Ministry seeks to transform society into a Culture of Life where every human being is valued and protected, from the moment of conception to natural death. We educate and inspire people to understand the truth about why and how we are created in God’s image of love. This group participates in various Archdiocese programs to promote the Respect Life values. To get involved or find out more, contact Wayne.
Wit and Wisdom
Wit and Wisdom is a gathering of experienced and active parishioners who seek to contribute to the parish and enrich their own spiritual development through 6 meetings per year. These include 2 social outreach events, 2 purely social events, and 2 spiritually enriching events. To find out more and get involved, contact the Parish Office to find out the next meeting date and time.
This committee works to create and execute opportunities to engage the parish in developing a strong community. From special events, like Fall Fest and the Christmas Fair, to the Ministry Fair, and more, we are always looking for helping hands. So, if you want to get involved or want more information, contact Mark. We love new ideas and the volunteers to help us execute them!
Lectors & Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC)
Volunteers serve at weekend liturgies and additional seasonal celebrations. Lectors proclaim the First and Second Readings and announce the Universal Prayer. EMHC assist the Priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ. Schedules are created based on the availability and preference of the volunteer. Contact Stephen for more information.
Spiritual Book Club
The Spiritual Book Club is committed to reading at least one book per month on spiritual topics. The SBC selects the books they read. Discussions are held once per month in Eden Chapel on the 3rd Tuesday evening of the month, at 6:30pm. For those who can’t make it, another gathering is held at 9am on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. For more info, contact the Parish Office.
This group focuses on general fellowship, the opportunity to discuss our faith, and some philanthropic efforts. Meeting in alternating months starting in January, the group is open to all women of the parish and school. No commitment needed! If you are available and interested, stop by the Parish Rectory after 6pm. We kindly ask you bring a snack or drink to share. Questions? Contact Liz.
Young Adults Group
Vounteers are needed to bring this group together! We are starting a social, service, and faith-filled group specifically for our young adult parishioners. The Parish staff is happy to help organize events and serve as a resource. In the meantime, keep an eye out in the parish bulletin for upcoming events. Any questions? Contact Chris.
