The Sacrament of Confirmation, along with Baptism and the Eucharist, completes the process of initiation into the Catholic Faith. It empowers individuals to live out their baptismal promises and participate more fully in the life of the Church
Youth
At Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Confirmation takes place in mid-spring every other year. Preparation for Confirmation begins in middle school and continues for two years. Students at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy receive formation for Confirmation during their religion classes. Middle School students not enrolled in a Catholic school should register for Religious Education to receive formation for Confirmation.
Adults
If you are over the age of 18, were baptized Catholic, received First Communion and were educated in the faith, yet never received the sacrament of Confirmation, we invite you to consider participating in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA).
