A mass intention refers to a specific purpose or intention for which a particular Mass is offered. When a priest celebrates the Mass, he can offer it for a specific intention, such as the well being of a person, the repose of the soul of someone who has passed away, or a particular request or need. Mass intentions are a way for individuals to connect their personal intentions or prayers with the liturgical celebration of the Eucharist.
Mass intentions are limited to two per Mass and a $10 stipend is requested.
